Hey y’all!! Long time, no read! Welcome back to my blog!!
I just wanted to share two AWESOME outfits before the year was over!!
Backstory – I had a work Christmas event to go to and every year we dress up! Last year I wore a long, velvet, hunter green dress with a lovely split in the front, so this year I HAD to wear red! So, being as extra as I am, I decided to wear red all day. Two looks. One day. Both red. Let’s get into these looks!
Daytime Red!
Because I knew my night time look was going to be a little ‘out there’, my goal for the daytime look was classic & clean. So, i looked through my closet and found this dress I made about a year ago. It is an eye catching red that fits me well, comes just below knee, has a crew neck and bell sleeves. It allows for simple & elegant jewelry, so pearls were a must and a black pointed toe pump completed this look perfectly! I topped it off with soft & fresh makeup. I wore my hair in a twist-out to give the natural effect. It was an excellent daytime look!
Night Time Red!
I am so proud of this look because it took FOREVER!!! It is a soft polyester/spandex blend that had tiny holographic dots all over. I followed a pattern to make the pants, and make-shifted a top with the extra fabric that I always seem to buy….! Anyway, God is good! The pants were SUPER long, just how I like them and I was shining all night long.
For jewelry, I chose a gold necklace with a medium sized rhinestone pendent and statement earrings to match. Also, I was able to find a bracelet that completed the set! The same black shoes carried to the look and green fur added a POP of over the top color. With my makeup, I went with a green lip, medium green waterline and a smokey eye. It was amaaaaaaziiiiing. I had a better photo!
This transition was GREAT!! I’m definitely going to try something like this again in 2019.
That’s all for now. Thanks again for visiting me and stay creative!
Yayyy she’s back!
