Today I’m sharing something that is not so new, but incredibly cool! It’s called a shacket! A shacket?? YES lol a shacket! A shacket is a cross between a shirt and a jacket. It is basically an oversized, button down shirt that has the same thickness as a jacket.

Two months ago, I was searching for a fall/winter coat and stumbled upon what I thought was a tweed, longline coat in H&M lol about a month later I was watching an H&M try-on haul by @awedbymonica on YouTube AND SHE HAD THE SAME COAT! I was extremely excited to know that Monica and I have a similar eye for style, but one thing was confusing… She called it a shacket??? After she explained why, my life was CHANGED! Here is my shacket!

Do you get it?? Do you see the magic?? Do you understand why I am so excited about this?? Or is it just me? lol Since a shacket is a cross between a shirt and a jacket, it can be styled so many different ways! In this particular look I styled it as a dress. It is definitely fall in Augusta, GA, so I wore a black, long sleeve, turtle neck underneath and rolled the shacket sleeves up to add a little texture.

As a cold natured lady, wearing outerwear as a single piece is out of the question lol but this shacket kept me warm the entire time! Even with the splits on the sides, I didn’t shiver once!

If you are interested in recreating this look, the knee high boots, hat, and earrings are all very old purchases, so I don’t have any links to them, but anything black would be similar!
